AKA Featured Flier – Ron Berkhout

IMG_9805Tell us a little bit about yourself:  I am Ron berkhout from The Netherlands. Had my moment of fame in the 90’s with my Hot Pepper kites at Invento HQ. I am planning to come back with a new Hot Pepper kite. I sold my complete kite collection to buy, trade and collect all pre 2000 Prism stunt kites. I love to help other collectors in making EU/USA trade deals.

Where is your favorite place to fly?The Kleine Scheidegg. it is a mountain pass at an elevation of 2,061 m, situated below and between the Eiger and Lauberhorn peaks in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland.IMG_9800
If you could fly with anyone dead or alive, who would it be, and what would you fly? It would love see two Radian’s in the sky, mine and one in the hands of Mark Reed.
What is your favorite event or kite festival? Fanø International Kite Festival, never been there but would love to go.IMG_9794
What is one thing you wish more people knew about kite flying? That the kite pilots are awesome fun loving people that inspire others.
